School Bus Driver

Job Overview Join our team as a School Bus Driver and become a vital part of our team! Don Thomas Buses Inc services New York City Department of Education schools. All of our routes are located withing New York City. If you enjoy working with children, have a passion for driving, and possess excellent communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transport students to and from school. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition, including checking mechanical systems and safety equipment. Communicate clearly with students, parents, school staff, and colleagues. Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, incidents, and vehicle maintenance logs. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) B or C with a school bus and passenger endorsements. Must be 21 years of age Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles is a plus. Strong communication; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse communities. Demonstrated ability to work well with children and manage behavior effectively. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and responsibility. Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and physicals as required by law.

From $24.00 per hour
