Job Description

The White Plains Youth Bureau is seeking responsible, safety-focused CDL Drivers to support transportation for youth development programs, educational trips, recreational activities, and community events. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while serving the community. Position Responsibilities Safely transport youth participants to and from program sites, field trips, educational activities, and special events Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a clean and safe bus environment Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety procedures Maintain accurate transportation logs and records Communicate effectively with Youth Bureau staff, parents, and participants Support a positive and respectful environment for youth Qualifications Valid CDL License with Passenger Endorsement (P) and School Bus Endorsement (S) required. Clean driving record Ability to pass DOT substance, physical and background check Experience transporting youth or community groups preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to safety, professionalism, and youth development Ability to work in Westchester County without impediments. Schedule Flexible part-time and/or seasonal opportunities may be available, including: Summer programming After-school programs Evening and weekend activities Special events and field trips Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
