Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services while ensuring a positive experience for all passengers. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, and a strong focus on customer service. Duties Safely operate various types of buses, including paratransit vehicles and shuttles, following all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus interior and exterior. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with disabilities or special needs. Handle any customer service inquiries or concerns in a professional manner. Keep accurate records of daily activities, including passenger counts and incident reports. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely service delivery. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation. Experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or as a delivery driver is preferred. Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus. Strong communication skills in English; ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively. Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
