Job Description

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver to safely transport and deliver food and related products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers. In this field-based role, you will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, load and unload products using pallet jacks or lift gates, and ensure orders are accurate, damage-free, and on time. You'll interact directly with customers, collect signatures or payments as needed, and represent PFG's safety-first, customer-focused culture while following all DOT regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer to deliver food and related products to customer locations Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow all DOT and company safety procedures Load, unload, and handle products using pallet jacks, lift gates, and manual handling as needed Verify order accuracy, ensure correct counts, and document any product shortages, returns, or damages Follow established delivery routes and schedules, adjusting to traffic and weather while maintaining on-time service Provide professional, courteous customer service at each stop, obtaining signatures and resolving basic delivery issues Use electronic logs and handheld devices to track deliveries, maintain records, and communicate with dispatch Secure loads properly and maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and trailer Report equipment issues, delays, or incidents promptly to dispatch or supervision Support PFG's safety-first, performance-driven culture by following policies and participating in training Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Defensive driving Route planning and navigation Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement Use of electronic logs (ELD) Operating pallet jacks and lift gates Time management Customer service Knowledge of
