Salary:
Starting at $15 / hour depending on education / experience Job Summary The school bus driver Operates Woods Services vehicles (including school buses) for the purpose of transporting both clients and staff to their appointed destinations. Responsibilities Operates Woods Services vehicles (including school buses) for the purpose of transporting both clients and staff to their appointed destinations. Care for Woods Services vehicles, through routine inspection, minor maintenance and proper housekeeping. Successfully completes transports both on and off campus by receiving verbal and written instructions from the Transportation Supervisor and/or dispatcher. Operates all Woods Services vehicles' including operating wheelchair lifts in accordance with proper protocol. Assists the staff in the securement of wheelchairs in vehicles and performs a double check. Ensures all vehicle occupants are seated and appropriately secured in conformance to all state and federal rules and regulations before moving the vehicle. Makes daily and weekly inspection of vehicle and completes and submits the appropriate report. Cooperates with other drivers and maintains a neat and clean driver's space. (No smoking is permitted in any Woods Services vehicles on or off campus.) Completes the daily transport logs accurately and submits them to the Transportation Supervisor or Coordinator. Reports all accidents, vehicle or otherwise, to the Transportation Supervisor (or designee) immediately and completes the appropriate reports.
Works overtime when required:
including planned annual events like Visitor's Day. Qualifications High School Diploma, a current and valid CDL and PA School Bus Endorsement. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and other physical requirements. Qualifications:
High School Diploma, a current and valid CDL and PA School Bus Endorsement. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and other physical requirements.
