Job Summary Join our team as a School Bus Driver and become a vital part of our commitment to student safety and reliable transportation. In this energetic role, you will operate school buses transport students safely to and from school, extracurricular activities, and special events. Your focus will be on ensuring a smooth, secure, and positive experience for every passenger while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while enjoying a dynamic work environment. Duties Safely operate school buses following designated routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip inspections using GPS navigation systems and mechanical knowledge to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Load, unload, and assist students with boarding and disembarking. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, school staff, parents, and students to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route adjustments. Follow all traffic laws, including those related to air brake systems, heavy equipment operation, and adverse weather driving conditions. Keep accurate logs of routes traveled, passenger counts, maintenance issues, and incident reports as required. Ensure the safety of all passengers by enforcing behavior policies and managing emergency situations calmly and effectively. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as passenger (P) or school bus (S) license. Training is available to acquire CDL with S & P endorsements. Classes are available now. Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles such as buses, box trucks, or tractor-trailers; shuttle driving or freight experience is a plus. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route driving best practices is a plus. Ability to operate under challenging conditions including adverse weather or heavy traffic safely. Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, staff, and emergency responders. Pay:
$98.00 - $104.00 per day
