Flexible schedule Free food & snacks Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development Before & After School Teacher / Child Care Bus Driver Thrive Early Learning Center | Clarksville, TN Do you enjoy working with school-age children and want a position where you can make a positive difference before and after the school day? Thrive Early Learning Center is hiring a dependable, energetic, and safety-focused Before & After School Teacher / Bus Driver to transport children to and from local schools and help create a fun, welcoming school-age program. Candidates who already have a valid Tennessee F endorsement are strongly encouraged to apply. We will also consider qualified applicants who are willing and able to obtain the required endorsement. What You'll Do Safely transport children to and from local schools Complete required vehicle and transportation safety checks Maintain accurate attendance and transportation records Supervise children during morning and afternoon programming Lead games, outdoor play, creative activities, homework time, and group experiences Build positive relationships with children, families, and school personnel Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment Follow all child care licensing, transportation, and center policies Assist in classrooms or other program areas as needed Schedule This position follows a split-shift schedule based on local school hours but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
Typical hours may include:
Morning shift: approximately 6:00-9:00 a.m.
Afternoon shift:
approximately 2:00-6:00 p.m. Additional daytime hours may be available Availability needed on school holidays, teacher workdays, and school breaks Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Tennessee driver's license with an acceptable driving record Current Tennessee F endorsement or the ability to meet all requirements and obtain one Dependable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to safely supervise and positively engage school-age children Ability to pass all required background checks Must meet Tennessee child care licensing and transportation requirements Previous experience in child care, education, transportation, summer camp, or youth programming is preferred CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; training may be provided The Right Person for This Role Is Dependable, punctual, and responsible Calm, patient, and safety-focused Comfortable driving a child care bus or passenger vehicle Energetic and actively engaged with children Able to maintain routines, expectations, and appropriate boundaries A strong communicator and team player Willing to complete the steps necessary to obtain an F endorsement Why Join Thrive?
