GED DOT Physical Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
Drives bus to transport Club members (kids) from affiliated schools to designated Club and over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule; inspects and maintains bus; and completes bus log according to organization policy. Position Description -
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Essential job functions & accountability: Reviews organization's transportation policy and procedure. Inspects vehicle for gas, oil and water and refills when needed. Completes driver/vehicle checklist. Obtains and reviews routes. Communicates safety rules and expected behavior during travel to passengers. Ensures passenger numbers do not exceed available seats. Observes passengers and enforces their safety entering/leaving the minibus. Practices safe driving by adhering to speed limits and local traffic regulations. Maintains order and discipline of Club members with BGCA approved processes. Inspects vehicle daily and reports safety hazards and maintenance needs. Completes Vehicle Trip Information Report. Ensures vehicle is serviced according to service schedule. Cleans inside of vehicle daily. Completes incident report on injuries that occur on the bus Reports delays, accidents and all safety related incidents. Completes other related reports.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Must be age 21+. Must have a valid Tennessee State CDL Class C with a P endorsement Must have a valid medical certificate (pass D.O.T. physical every two years) CPR Certification Must pass a drug/alcohol test and pass testing done at random, post-accident and for reasonable suspicion after employment. Possess safe driving record as documented by a clean seven-year MVR. Experience driving a vehicle to transport passengers, preferably in a minibus or bus, in a city and urban environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret written information. Posted qualifications serve as a guide for candidate review and are not fixed. Compensation:
