The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting children to their designated locations while providing excellent customer service. The Bus Driver will ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit and maintain the vehicle in good working condition. Duties Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness. Maintain effective and professional communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and passengers regarding route changes or delays. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly. Manage behavior on the bus, ensuring a safe environment for all passengers. Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with P& S endorsment. Experience in bus driving, paratransit services, or school bus driving preferred. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Experience working with children is highly desirable. Customer service experience is essential for interacting positively with passengers. Mechanical knowledge to assist in basic vehicle maintenance is beneficial. Ability to manage behavior effectively among diverse groups of passengers.
