This person must have a current Class B Commercial Drivers License with a passenger endorsement,. Your responsibilities will be to do the following: Do a pre-trip inspection of the bus each day to ensure it is in good working order Ensure the bus has at least a half tank of gas at all times Make sure to report any behavior issues on the bus to Directors Follow a planned bus route to drop off and pick up children in a timely manner Properly document the attendance for children as they board and get off the bus Ensure the children are always seated properly and using seat belts correctly Follow all road rules in accordance to the Dept. of Public Safety Always walk the bus at the end of each route to ensure no child is left behind Maintain Bus Cleanliness Report any maintenance issues to Directors Working with children is so rewarding and this is a perfect job for a retired person or someone that is looking for a few hours of additional income!
