Hopewell, VA Pay Rate:

$22.34 per hour $1,500 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire + remaining $1,000 paid out at 6 months)

Schedule:

Monday

• Friday
  6-hour days guaranteed
  Typically 6 AM
• 9 AM and 2 PM
• 5 PM Join the team.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements

Good driving record and strong commitment to safety

Knowledge of vehicle handling, traffic safety rules, and road systems

Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage groups of students and maintain safe bus behavior

Patience and professionalism when working with children and young adults

Job Duties:

Safely operate a school bus or school vehicle on assigned routes

Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school transportation guidelines

Maintain appropriate student behavior and safety during transport

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Complete required reports, forms, and route documentation

Conduct routine vehicle safety checks before and after routes

Respond appropriately to student needs and maintain a calm, professional environment Benefits
