Job Description
Overview Vineyard Voyages is hiring a part-time CDL bus driver for our winery tours in Loudoun County and Northern Virginia. Most tours run Saturday and Sunday, plus some weekdays for corporate and private groups. You drive our bus. A separate tour guide handles the guests and the itinerary. Your job is to get everyone there safely, on time, in a clean bus. Schedule A typical weekend day runs 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with breaks in between. Spring and fall are the busiest seasons. Pay $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and driver vehicle inspection reports Operate the bus safely on scheduled routes between pickup points and wineries Keep the bus clean, fueled, and ready before and after every tour Coordinate timing and route changes with the tour guide and dispatch Follow FMCSA hours-of-service rules and record duty status Report mechanical defects, incidents, or accidents immediately Required qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B or higher Passenger (P) endorsement Current DOT medical examiner's certificate (medical card) At least 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience 3 references specific to bus driving At least 21 years old (federal requirement for interstate passenger transport) Clean motor vehicle record, no disqualifying offenses under 49 CFR 383.51 Pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and stay in the random testing pool under 49 CFR Part 382 Consent to FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse queries, pre-employment and annually Provide 3 years of employment history for DOT previous-employer safety verification Able to speak and read English Complete a DOT driver qualification file, DOT Drug & Alcohol Test, and a road test Preferred No air brake restriction Motorcoach, charter, or shuttle experience Familiar with Loudoun County wine country roads What matters most Reliability on Saturdays and Sundays.
