Non-CDL Class C Full Job Description Overview:
The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the shuttle bus according to a set daily schedule. Individual must ensure that the shuttle bus is in good operating condition at all times, pick up and drop off students per the schedule, maintain order and security on the shuttle bus and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct. Shuttle Bus Drivers are part-time positions. Position will fill in on shuttle bus routes as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide transportation in a college owned shuttle bus to member of the college community, following all applicable transportation laws. Transport riders between campuses of Blackhawk Technical College following daily schedule. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safety and comply with state regulations. Fill the vehicle with gas as necessary. Assist passengers with boarding and un-boarding the shuttle bus as necessary. Ensure the shuttle buses are kept clean, orderly and in safe condition including but not limited to sweeping of garbage, empty of trash receptacle, wiping floors, washing windows and/or seats as necessary. Maintain vehicle, passenger, and trip logs in compliance with regulations. Ensure shuttle bus is safely secured and stored, while parked on campus locations and at the end of the shift. Responsible for maintaining the safety and maintenance of the vehicle elevate any issues needing repair to the Maintenance team. Maintain order on the shuttle bus, and elevate disciplinary issues as necessary. Report any and all accidents to management.
Qualifications:
Hold a State of Wisconsin - Class C License. Prior experience with bus driving. Prior experience with customer services. Candidate will need to past a pre-employment drug screen, and will be subject to random drug screens during employment based on Department of Transportation regulations.
