Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Process incoming and outgoing mail for the organization and serve as courier when needed. Uphold the organization s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.

Essential Functions:

Pick up mail from post office and distribute it to appropriate department/personnel mail boxes Weigh and stamp outgoing mail, ensuring appropriate documentation, delivery notification, insurance, etc. is needed based on contents of package and desires of sender Daily pick-up and delivery of interoffice mail Monitor and maintain a sufficient level of mail supplies Monitor and request funds for mail processing as necessary Provide courier service to all departments as needed Perform daily delivery of Pharmacy prescriptions to Nome patients Provide support to other Departments when delivery of goods is required Act as back-up Patient Driver fulfilling job responsibilities when necessary Assist with Materials Management document filing and reconciliation Perform other duties as assigned

Job specific skills and abilities are listed below: Above average customer service skills Minimum Requirements Education Degree Program High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience General (Non-supervisory)

Supervisory Amount:

1 year(s) working in a service environment, hospital setting preferred, and 5 years driving experience 0 (years)

Type:

Must have both general and supervisory experience if indicated. Credentials Licensure, Certification, Etc. Valid Alaska Driver's License and a clean driving record Must be 21 years old Must have an acceptable driving record without any major violations or no more than two minor violations in the last three years. BLS.

Physical Requirements:

∙Use hands and arms to operate office or clinical equipment

∙Stand and/or walk more than half the workday

∙Bend, stretch, twist, crouch and/or reach

∙Use hands and arms for repetitive motion tasks consistently for more than one hour at a time

∙See and hear with normal acuity

Working Conditions:

∙Work is conducted in a standard office environment and includes exposure to biomedical specimens
