This role offers the flexibility to operate your own vehicle while providing exceptional service to our customers. As a courier contractor, you'll handle diverse delivery tasks, navigate various routes, and ensure timely, safe, and professional deliveries. Duties Safely operate your personal or commercial vehicle, including box trucks and vans, to complete delivery routes efficiently. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all driving and delivery activities. Manage route driving using mobile devices for navigation, tracking deliveries, and communicating with dispatch. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures, timestamps, and delivery confirmation logs. Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any delivery-related questions or concerns. Maintain vehicle safety through routine inspections, proper maintenance checks, and compliance with heavy lifting safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route planning and navigation. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. Valid driver's license for commercial driving or personal vehicle delivery; ability to operate manual transmission preferred. Experience with commercial truck driving or van driving is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving items using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on public roads. Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities. Comfortable using mobile devices for route management and communication during deliveries.
