Responsibilities Safely transport diplomatic documents, equipment, and personnel using bicycles, cargo bikes, or courier vehicles across urban areas. Assist with wheelchair support and handle special mobility needs for embassy staff or visitors requiring assistance. Operate pedicabs or other shared mobility systems to navigate busy city streets efficiently. Communicate effectively via two-way radios with team members to coordinate deliveries and respond to changing priorities. Manage customer expectations by providing clear information on delivery times, procedures, and handling inquiries professionally. Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations while navigating diverse city environments. Use hand trucks, dollies, or other cargo handling tools to load and unload items securely during transit. Handle customer inquiries related to deliveries or services promptly and courteously. Process cash transactions or delivery payments accurately when required. Conduct bicycle repairs or troubleshoot issues with delivery equipment to ensure smooth operations. Maintain outdoor work readiness by staying alert to environmental conditions and ensuring all mobility devices are in optimal condition. Experience Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver, especially within outdoor or urban settings. Familiarity with bicycle delivery, cargo bikes, pedicabs, or shared mobility systems is highly desirable. Customer service experience with a focus on managing customer inquiries and expectations effectively. Knowledge of city street navigation, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices for bicycles and cargo vehicles. Experience handling hand trucks, dollies, or similar cargo handling tools in outdoor environments. Background in food service or similar roles involving prompt service delivery is a plus.
