Job Overview Prime Diagnostics LLC is seeking dependable and professional PRN Mobile Drug Testing Collectors to assist with scheduled drug-testing events throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. This is an event-based position with no guaranteed minimum number of assignments, shifts, or hours. Events may include single-day hiring events, recurring testing events, or assignments scheduled over multiple consecutive days. Some events may last up to five consecutive days. Collectors may accept assignments based on their availability; however, once an assignment is accepted, attendance for all agreed-upon dates is required. Collectors must be comfortable working shifts of up to eight hours in busy environments while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Exact event locations, schedules, and assignment details will be provided to selected collectors before each event. Compensation $150 per scheduled event shift of up to eight hours PRN and event-based scheduling No guaranteed minimum number of assignments, shifts, or hours Additional time must be approved by Prime Diagnostics LLC in advance Responsibilities Perform urine specimen collections according to DOT requirements, established collection procedures, and client instructions. Verify donor identification before beginning each collection. Accurately complete paper or electronic chain-of-custody forms. Properly label, seal, document, and prepare specimens for processing or shipment. Maintain specimen integrity and security throughout the collection process. Follow applicable procedures for shy bladder, temperature concerns, suspected tampering, insufficient specimens, and other problem collections. Conduct directly observed collections when assigned, qualified, and authorized to do so. Protect donor privacy and maintain strict confidentiality. Give donors clear collection instructions and answer procedural questions professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure collection area. Follow infection-control, workplace-safety, and bloodborne-pathogen precautions. Account for collection supplies, documentation, and completed specimens before leaving the event location. Immediately report collection problems, documentation errors, incidents, delays, or unusual circumstances to the Prime Diagnostics event coordinator. Arrive on time and remain available for the entire accepted assignment. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current DOT urine specimen collector qualification required. Must have completed the required DOT qualification training and initial proficiency demonstration, including the required mock collections. Must provide documentation showing completion of DOT collector qualification requirements. Refresher training must be current, when applicable. Knowledge of the Federal Custody and Control Form and DOT urine specimen collection procedures. Knowledge of specimen integrity, donor identification, chain-of-custody requirements, and problem-collection procedures. Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete documentation accurately. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Ability to remain calm, respectful, and organized in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow written procedures and instructions without skipping required steps. Comfortable using electronic forms, mobile devices, and collection-related systems. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to assigned locations throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Must be able to satisfy any applicable background-screening, identification, confidentiality, or site-access requirements. Preferred Experience Previous workplace or mobile drug-testing collection experience Experience supporting high-volume or event-based collections Experience completing paper and electronic chain-of-custody documentation Bloodborne-pathogen and HIPAA or confidentiality training Availability and Scheduling This is a PRN position. Collectors will be contacted when assignments become available and may accept or decline assignments based on their availability. Assignments may occur on weekdays and may require early-morning or extended daytime availability. Events may last one day or multiple consecutive days, including assignments lasting up to five days. Applicants who can commit to an entire multi-day assignment are strongly preferred. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible, although availability for assignments offered on shorter notice is helpful. Once a collector accepts an assignment, the collector is expected to arrive on time and work every date and shift accepted.
