Job Description
Benefits Company use van On-the-job training Job description Final Transport is a mortuary transport company that services Volusia County, FL. MUST live in Daytona Beach, South Daytona, Port Orange OR New Smyrna and available to do 24hr on call shifts on Sunday's and Mondays , and on call other days during the week when needed from 6pm-6am. We prepare and transport decedents from their place of death (residence, nursing homes, hospitals and accident/crime scenes) to a facility (funeral home, crematory or medical examiner). This is NOT a transport/driving ONLY position. You will be handling and physically picking up the deceased and putting them into the body bag and preparing them for transport. Employees must show empathy and compassion to the families that we encounter. Employees are required to work consecutive 24-hour shifts and work nights 6pm-6am. Employees are required to receive and respond to all calls given to him/her during their on-call hours. Employees are required to get ready and depart quickly for the call within a few minutes of receiving information from our dispatch team. Must be at least 25 years old. Florida drivers license and clean driving record is required. Ability to lift 150 lbs. Pay is based on per body pick up per day you are on call. The average pick up call takes 1-2hrs round trip. You will get $35 per pick up . Retired police, fire, military and medical personnel are encouraged to apply. Background check and drug testing are required. Positions are open immediately.
