Mobile Specimen Collector Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time $22 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Nursing Laboratory equipment maintenance Labeling Mid-level Client relationship development Sanitation procedures Driver's License Collecting samples for laboratory testing Driving Hospitality Management Technical troubleshooting support Instrument maintenance Associate's degree Full Job Description Job description: Summary The Specimen Collector will be the main link between GeneID Laboratory and our patients in Long Term Care Facilities. The Specimen Collector will collect, process, and ship specimens from residents and staff members to be received exclusively by GeneID Laboratories. Responsibilities Perform specimen collections (Mouth swab) at Long Term Care Facilities. Willing to drive long distance to different facilities, up to 4 hours away. Ensure completeness and accuracy of labeling on all specimens Process, package, and ship specimens to assure specimen viability and quality analysis. Operate and maintain equipment associated with GeneID Laboratories as necessary. Follow GeneID PPE and sanitization protocol Maintain appropriate levels of supplies necessary for the collection and processing of specimens Identify and convey to management any potential issues that could interfere with the company's ability to provide services and provide feedback that could improve the company's quality of service. Maintain all personal licensure and training requirements as applicable. Qualifications Associate's degree in a life sciences (i.e. Medical Assistant) or related field OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in hospitality, communication, nursing, life sciences or related field required Drivers license required Comfortable with handling and trouble-shooting technology on site, with assistance from remote IT Support technician Confident with client relationships as it pertains to on site set up and logistics
