- Contract Independent Contract Delivery Driver Job Summary Moor Moves Logistics LLC is seeking reliable, professional, and customer-focused Independent Contract Delivery Drivers to join our growing driver network.
We are building a roster of dependable drivers for current and upcoming courier, medical courier, and small parcel delivery opportunities throughout Northwest Indiana and the Chicago metropolitan area. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, has a clean driving record, and can work independently while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Pick up, transport, and deliver small parcels according to assigned routes and schedules. Load and unload packages safely and securely. Verify delivery information and obtain signatures when required. Use GPS and route-planning tools to ensure timely deliveries. Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and basic operational condition. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues. Provide professional and courteous customer service. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable personal vehicle. Current auto insurance. Smartphone with GPS capability. Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines. Previous courier, delivery, or driving experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Work Environment Local delivery routes throughout Northwest Indiana and the Chicago metropolitan area. 1099 Independent Contractor position.
