Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting newspapers to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to meet the demands of our growing business. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients. Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods. Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Assist in loading and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during delivery. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or similar role involving route driving is a plus. Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles preferred. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks such as moving and heavy lifting regularly. Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding inventory handling and loading procedures. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients. Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow detailed delivery instructions.
