Exodus Family Ministries provides essential, Christ-centered services to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship. The Resource Center Generalist is a vital, frontline position that keeps our operations running smoothly- handling everything from guest engagement and facility upkeep to logistics, volunteer support, and local transportation.
What You'll Be Doing Active Facility & Logistics Care:
Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of community spaces, kitchen, laundry areas, and restrooms. Load and unload food pantry deliveries, organize donated items, and manage laundry cycles for program participants.
Direct Client Engagement:
Warmly greet and assist guests, educate them on available resources, and help maintain a peaceful, welcoming environment using calm de-escalation skills when needed.
Transportation & Outreach:
Safely transport clients to/from the center, assist with donation pick-ups, and support community outreach efforts (valid driver's license required).
Volunteer Support:
Orient, equip, and work alongside volunteers during shifts, stepping in to fill operational gaps as daily priorities shift.
Operational Basics:
Assist with client sign-in, basic data entry, and phone coverage when needed. Who Will Thrive in This Role This is not a predictable desk job or traditional office position. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who loves variety, physical movement, and active service. You are a great fit if you: Have experience in active, hands-on environments (such as CNA/healthcare support, physical labor, customer service, or hands-on ministry). Pivot comfortably when daily plans are interrupted, staying calm, flexible, and grounded. Are comfortable rolling up your sleeves for physical work; whether loading heavy shipments, cleaning facilities, or handling laundry. Relate well to people from all walks of life with genuine Christian compassion, dignity, and respect. Core Requirements Professing Christian in full agreement with the Exodus Statement of Faith and an active member of a local evangelical church. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.\ Physical capability to lift and move up to 30+ lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and handle physical labor. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, basic recordkeeping).
