Job Description

Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 1. Monitors and orders supply in efficient quantities to support the operations of serviced areas. Maintains and delivers supplies to serviced supply areas with inventory based on set par levels, JIT levels, and department requests. 2. Receives incoming supplies and equipment. Notifies the Purchasing Department, Supply Chain Supervisor, and Supply Chain Lead Technician of any discrepancies or damages regarding the incoming materials. 3. Scans/create requisitions and uploads orders to Purchasing for assigned products and supplies. Scan products and upload data into the computer. Visually inspects 100% of packages that are not factory sealed. Continuously update and enter quantities received with accuracy. 4. Accepts supplies into the Supply Chain Services inventory areas, including STAT Inventory, Bulk Inventory, and JIT bins to be distributed. Directs stock into proper location and rotates stock as necessary. 5. Develops efficient par levels for JIT and Bulk inventories, along with Patient Floor inventories, and manages them to support distribution operations (i.e. deleting or adding to stock levels) as necessary. 6. Maintains contact with general staff to resolve discrepancies. Ensures hospital-wide compliance with policies and procedures for the timely delivery, receipt, accuracy, and accountability of all incoming materials. Notifies supervisor immediately of problems regarding departmental policies and procedures. 7. Expedites materials and equipment by USPS, UPS, FedEx, or a common carrier.- Inspect all contents inside packages.
