Job Description

1099 Medical Courier Owner-Operator - Own Vehicle Required Videaux Transport Services LLC is seeking reliable independent contractor medical courier drivers for upcoming recurring routes throughout Maryland, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland.
Compensation:
$150-$275+ per route/day depending on route distance, duration, schedule, and requirements. Additional compensation may apply for STAT, urgent, after-hours, weekend, holiday, or extended-distance runs.
Responsibilities:
Transport pre-packaged medical and laboratory specimens Complete scheduled recurring courier routes Maintain chain-of-custody documentation Protect temperature-sensitive shipments during transport Complete pickups and deliveries on time Communicate route status using smartphone/GPS Follow medical specimen handling and safety procedures Maintain professional conduct at hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and secured facilities
Requirements:
Own reliable sedan, SUV, minivan, cargo van, or similar vehicle Valid driver's license Current auto insurance Clean and safe driving history Smartphone with GPS/navigation Reliable communication Ability to pass background screening Ability to provide consistent scheduled-route coverage Ability to meet secured-facility access requirements when required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous medical courier or laboratory specimen experience HIPAA training Bloodborne Pathogens training 49 CFR HAZMAT training/certification Experience transporting Category A/B specimens Dry ice handling experience Military, DoD, hospital, laboratory, pharmacy, or secured-facility courier experience Current DBIDS or other DoD/military installation access credentials
Service Areas May Include:
Bethesda, Rockville, Bowie, Waldorf, Southern Maryland, Patuxent River area, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Fort Belvoir area, Dumfries, Woodbridge, Dahlgren area, and Washington DC. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity . Contractors provide their own vehicle and are responsible for their own vehicle-related operating expenses unless otherwise agreed for a specific route.
