is seeking dependable and professional 1099 Medical Courier Drivers

•Owner-Operators for scheduled and on-demand medical courier routes throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Drivers will use their own reliable vehicle to transport medical specimens, laboratory materials, and other time-sensitive healthcare items safely and on time. Responsibilities Transport medical and laboratory specimens Complete scheduled and on-demand/STAT courier routes Maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation Protect temperature-sensitive materials during transportation Complete pickups and deliveries within required timeframes Follow medical specimen handling and safety procedures Follow HIPAA confidentiality requirements Communicate route status, delays, and delivery completion Maintain professional conduct at hospitals, laboratories, clinics, military installations, and government facilities Maintain a clean, safe, reliable, and properly insured vehicle Requirements Applicants must: Be at least 18 years old. Must have a clean, reliable, and well-maintained vehicle Have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Be able to pass required background/security screening for access to military installations. Be dependable and punctual. Have a smartphone with reliable phone/data service. Be able to safely lift and transport medical coolers and supplies. Be willing to complete required training and maintain required certifications. Be comfortable driving throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Experience as a medical courier, delivery driver, military courier, laboratory courier, pharmacy courier, USPS/FedEx/UPS driver, or other professional delivery driver is preferred but not required. Required Training/Certifications Applicants must have current: HIPAA Training OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training

DOT HAZMAT

Training

•49 CFR Part 172 Training covering Category A and Category B infectious substances and dry ice Applicants must submit copies of their current certifications with their application. Applications without the required certification documentation may not be considered.

Compensation:

$150

•250 per day/route Compensation varies based on route distance, duration, schedule, and service requirements. Additional compensation may apply for STAT/on-demand, after-hours, weekend, holiday, or long-distance assignments.

Schedule:

Monday-Saturday, with some on-call/STAT opportunities Service Area Routes may include locations throughout Bethesda, Rockville, Bowie, Waldorf, Southern Maryland, Patuxent River area, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Fort Belvoir area, Dumfries, Woodbridge, Dahlgren area, and Washington, DC.
