is recruiting dependable Medical Specimen Couriers for anticipated federal healthcare courier services supporting military and healthcare facilities throughout Bethesda, Maryland, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and surrounding areas.

Starting Pay:

$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

Part-time, approximately 10-30 hours per week depending on assigned route

Positions:

Scheduled weekday routes, Saturday routes, relief/on-call, and STAT/on-demand assignments

receiving the federal contract award. Responsibilities Safely pick up and deliver laboratory specimens and medical materials between designated healthcare facilities. Maintain specimen integrity, chain of custody, and required documentation. Follow cold-chain and dry-ice handling procedures when required. Meet strict scheduled pickup and delivery times. Use GPS/mobile communication to maintain contact with dispatch. Immediately communicate delays or transportation issues. Maintain professional conduct while working at military and healthcare facilities. Required Qualifications Valid U.S.-issued driver's license and acceptable driving record. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Reliable, legally registered and appropriately insured vehicle. Smartphone with GPS/navigation capability. Dependable and able to meet strict route schedules. Ability to obtain required access to Department of Defense installations.

HAZMAT REQUIREMENT

Applicants with current documented 49 CFR 172.704 HAZMAT training applicable to transportation of medical/laboratory specimens are strongly encouraged to apply. Please be prepared to provide a copy of your current training record/certificate. Experience transporting laboratory specimens or medical materials is preferred. Experience with dry ice/cold-chain transportation, bloodborne-pathogen procedures, HIPAA/privacy requirements, or military medical facilities is also preferred.
