In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and other healthcare-related materials between laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. Your dedication ensures timely deliveries that support patient care and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals who thrive on active work, excellent customer service, and precise delivery execution. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload medical supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Plan efficient routes using mobile devices to optimize delivery schedules and ensure punctual arrivals at each destination. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly. Handle sensitive materials with care, practicing safe lifting practices during loading, unloading, and transportation activities. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with healthcare staff at each delivery point. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience in warehouse operations is highly desirable. Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license suitable for operating box trucks or personal vehicles for delivery purposes. Experience in delivery driving or courier services, especially within healthcare or sensitive environments. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus; however, training can be provided for qualified candidates. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safe manual handling practices to prevent injuries during load & unload tasks. Understanding of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on route driving assignments. Comfort using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and record keeping during daily routes.
