A national courier company is looking for Independent Contractor Courier in the St Cloud area to run a scheduled medical route M-F serving the St Cloud VA Hospital. This is a long-term opportunity starting October 1st The route starts with a morning pickup at the St Cloud VA Hospital to pick up supplies and mail prior to heading out on the route. The courier delivers and picks up at the Montevideo VA Clinic and returns to the St Cloud VA Hospital. The route is 200 miles round trip and compensation is $144.00 per day plus applicable fuel surcharge. This route runs M-F. No nights/weekends or Federal Holidays. However, we do have opportunities for additional as-needed runs for those interested in making extra money. To qualify, you must: Have a passion for serving our Veteran Community Be able to speak, read and write English Have a presentable and neat appearance Have a clean driving record and current automobile insurance Have a late model vehicle (Mini Van/Small Van or mid size SUV is mandatory due to supplies and cargo) that is in good shape with operating AC Be able to pass a background check Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and put it in the vehicle Be a dependable, detail-oriented self-starter that can work without supervision Be comfortable driving in adverse weather conditions Previous courier experience preferred As an Independent Contractor you will be compensated weekly and will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year for tax purposes. As an Independent Contractor you will be responsible for all costs associated with operations to include vehicle, fuel, insurance phone, etc...
