Accessorial Specialist Saint Louis, MO | Full-Time UMT Global Group is a fast-paced freight brokerage built on getting it right — for our customers and our carriers. We're hiring a detail-oriented Accessorial Specialist to join our team in Saint Louis, MO. In this role, you'll make sure every detention, layover, and truck-order-not-used charge is captured correctly, and you'll work directly with dispatchers, drivers, and carriers to keep our network accountable and running smoothly. What You'll Do Review completed loads daily to identify accessorial charges — detention, layover, and truck order not used (TONU) — and enter them accurately in our TMS so customers are billed and carriers are paid correctly. Monitor daily reports to catch missed pickups or deliveries and gaps in tracking compliance, then investigate by reviewing load history and talking with dispatchers and drivers. Clearly explain to drivers and carriers why a fine was issued and how the load should have been handled. Use good judgment to negotiate fines, with the goal of reaching an outcome carriers and drivers understand and agree with. Keep the TMS updated with accurate records and issue revised rate confirmations once loads are resolved.
