Duties Safely operate your personal or commercial vehicle, such as a box truck or van, along designated routes to deliver packages and goods promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to maintain safety and compliance during all deliveries. Communicate effectively with warehouse in case a rescue needs to be put in place. Load and unload heavy or bulky items with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring safety for yourself and the cargo. Maintain accurate delivery logs such as the manifest until the end of each shift. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed professionally and courteously. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation. Ability to drive various vehicle types including; personal vehicles suited for delivery purposes. Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace. Skilled in route driving with a focus on efficiency and adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via mobile devices or in person. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as moving boxes, pallets, or other cargo safely and effectively.
