Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Services has a PRN (as needed, occasional) opportunity for licensed drivers that want to work a few hours a week to deliver meals to older adults who are homebound and need support. QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, Training:

High school education and safe driving record. Familiarity with Winston Salem and Forsyth County.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

Ability to lift and handle bulky items Good customer service skills Ability to meet deadlines Skills with driving and following directions (map or written)

Physical Requirements:

Driving and lifting up to 50 pounds. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 90

% Delivers Meals-on-Wheels routes daily (Monday-Friday). Typical need is between 9:30AM to 1:00PM. 10% Other duties as assigned when routes are delivered.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for own work only.

AUTHORITY/ACCOUNTABILITY

Driver is responsible for safe delivery of meals and supplies to seniors throughout the community daily.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Resolves issues of scheduling and vehicle repairs.
