Overview The Courier supports operations by delivering and picking up items for accounts, vendors, subsidiaries, and corporate associates; completing scheduled routes within headquarters and local subsidiaries; responding to special requests; making bank deposits, cashing checks, and picking up bank transactions; driving and maintaining service vehicle. Primary Responsibilities Record information during the delivery process and check delivery system to confirm deliveries and collections or receive delivery instructions Communicate with recipients to obtain signatures and payments or arrange for recipients to make payments Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes; sort and load items for the most efficient delivery Deliver packages and materials to designated destinations using diverse transportation tools; receive items to be delivered and check information on delivery forms Pick up and deliver packages and materials, per request, using diverse transportation tools Deliver important documents and items from one place to another Take orders over the phone to determine where an item needs to be picked up and delivered Deliver paper, water, and supplies to various areas of the building to ensure that supplies and stock are available to employees as needed Run errands to purchase supplies daily, weekly, or as requested Pick-up and deliver external and inter-office mail to Front Desk Coordinator(s) Perform daily post office run for PO Box correspondence Conduct daily pick-up and deliveries to and from the office and warehouse facilities Obtain signatures on delivery items as needed Load and unload delivery items from the vehicle as needed Perform other job-related duties as assigned Additional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of experience Clean driving record and valid driver s license Physical Demands Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position.
