Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Courier to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for transporting medical supplies, specimens, and equipment safely and efficiently between healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and other medical sites. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries, uphold strict safety standards, and provide excellent customer service to healthcare professionals and patients alike. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles for scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs. Load and unload medical supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow established routes and adhere to traffic regulations to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety at all times. Verify delivery details with recipients, obtain signatures, and document all transactions accurately via mobile devices or delivery logs. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of delivery vehicles to ensure optimal operation. Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations regarding weight handling, hours of service, and safety protocols. Handle heavy or bulky items with safe lifting practices, ensuring proper manual handling procedures are followed during loading/unloading processes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service. Assist with warehouse operations when required, including inventory management and material handling using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or manual transmission trucks. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services within a healthcare or warehouse environment is highly preferred. Proven ability to operate commercial trucks, box trucks, or van drivers' vehicles safely and efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations relevant to commercial driving roles. Experience in customer service roles involving direct interaction with clients or healthcare professionals. Ability to manage route driving independently while maintaining punctuality and safety standards. Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, documentation, and communication during deliveries.
