CURRENT HAZMAT TRAINING IS REQUIRED.

Applicants MUST currently have documented DOT Hazardous Materials training compliant with 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H . Proof of current training will be required. Applicants without this training will not be considered.

Pay:

$24.43 per hour, subject to final wage determination verification

Fuel/Vehicle:

Separate route-based fuel/vehicle allowance

Expected Hours:

Approximately 30-40 hours per week

Monday-Friday, daytime; federal holidays excluded

October 2026 Position is contingent upon federal contract award. Responsibilities Pick up and transport time-sensitive laboratory specimens and other packaged materials from assigned VA clinic locations. Transport specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, mail and other authorized materials. Maintain proper chain of custody and safe handling procedures. Complete assigned routes within required delivery deadlines. Ensure assigned materials reach the Albany VA Medical Center by 4:00 PM. Service one or multiple clinic locations depending on route assignment. Maintain professional and dependable communication with dispatch/management. SUV or minivan is preferred due to cargo requirements. A separate route-based fuel/vehicle allowance or reimbursement will be provided based on the assigned route.
