Job Summary The Furniture and Appliance Delivery Associate is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading furniture and appliances to customer locations. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, traffic regulations, and proper handling techniques. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, manual handling expertise, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure timely and damage-free deliveries. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles designated for delivery tasks. Load and unload furniture and appliances using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries using mobile devices or other digital tools. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, addressing questions professionally, and ensuring complete satisfaction upon delivery. Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management, material handling, and maintaining safety standards. Perform heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to prevent injury during loading or unloading processes. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations involving manual handling and heavy lifting. Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks or cargo vans, is preferred. Familiarity with route planning, load & unload procedures, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks will be advantageous. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments are essential for success in this role. Prior experience in customer service or courier services will be considered a plus.
