Job Description

Title:
Finance Clerk Reporting Relationship:

Finance Director/Billing Manager Job Summary:
The Finance Clerk's primary responsibility is to assist in the Finance office through a variety of duties and to provide back-up coverage as needed.
Specific Duties:
  • Review and attest to completed Medicaid transports utilizing MAS, SNAP and submitted vouchers from drivers following NYS Dept. of Health guidelines.
  • Print and input completed volunteer transport vouchers for mileage reimbursement.
  • Utilize google mapping to bill accurate mileage to Medicaid and to review volunteer odometer variances for proper reimbursement of volunteer drivers.
  • Contact volunteers and work with them to resolve billing/reimbursement issues.
  • Assist in preparing billing spreadsheets for contracted services.
  • Track and monitor paper vouchers required for billing. Scan and file completed vouchers, maintain a tracking spreadsheet, and contact volunteers by mail or phone when needed.
  • Assist in issuing checks to Volunteer Drivers; preparing checks for mail.
  • Answer incoming phone lines; receive appointment information; handle issues with transportation.
  • Greet and assist drivers when coming into the office.
  • Provide back-up coverage as needed in the Finance office.
  • All other duties assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
A combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to carry out job duties as described. An Associate's Degree and two (2) years of work experience is preferable. Must have excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. Must be well-organized, able to work independently and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to perform well under pressure.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
