Job Description

Alta Care Group is seeking a Mail Courier to be primarily responsible for driving a designated route each day and picking up and delivering interoffice mail, packages, bulk food, and supplies.

Essential Functions:
  • Drives a scheduled route to deliver interoffice mail to all Alta Head Start and Behavioral Health locations.
  • Assists in the creation of, revisions to scheduled routes.
  • Delivers supplies, packages, and other large items to sites as needed.
  • Assist if needed, with packaging and distributing of bulk food to centers.
  • Responsible for various errands as assigned by the Program Director and the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain appropriate vehicle tracking log and turn in monthly.
  • Keeps the mail van clean and inspects regularly for necessary maintenance.
  • Follows all traffic safety laws and regulations.
  • Attend meetings as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass BCI/FBI background check in accordance with ODJFS Licensing regulations.
  • Must be able to pass a medical exam in accordance with ODJFS licensing Regulations.
  • Must be able to provide documentation of being free from communicable tuberculosis in accordance with Head Start Standards
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education and Experience:
