Purpose:

Provides courier services between hospital campuses, physician offices, clinics, etc. Responsible for transporting specimens, supplies, reports, etc. to designated locations.

Responsibilities:

Is courteous in greeting patients who require lab services. Stores and transports specimens at the appropriate temperature Operate ARHS vehicles with respect. Accurately delivers supplies to various physician offices and between the campuses. Transports samples in the appropriate device Accurately delivers mail to assigned locations. Takes requests and fills supply orders requested by physicians' offices and nursing homes. Adheres to standard precautions when handling blood and body fluids. Assist with courier requests form other departments.
