Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier serving the West Mifflin area! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting medical specimens, supplies, and equipment between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and other designated locations. Your proactive approach to driving, manual handling, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical healthcare operations through reliable and professional courier services. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver medical items across designated routes in the West Mifflin region Load and unload medical supplies and specimens using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all driving and delivery activities Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and digital records using mobile devices or other electronic systems Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with healthcare staff and facility personnel during pickups and drop-offs Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly Follow proper procedures for manual handling of heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries and ensure safe workplace practices Qualifications Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving preferred Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus; ability to operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is desirable Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace to ensure safety at all times Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following safe lifting practices; physical stamina for manual handling tasks required Experience working with mobile devices for route navigation and documentation purposes Join us in making a difference through dependable medical courier services!
