PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting to the Dispatch Coordinator, the Blood Component Courier (Courier) is responsible for performing product retrieval and supply delivery as needed during the assigned shift. Under direct supervision, the Courier will ensure the timely pick up of unprocessed blood collections, while adhering to all regulations and procedures governing the storage and transportation of blood products, consistent with the goals and objectives of the department and Carter BloodCare. A valid, Texas driver's license is required, as well as an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Carter BloodCare Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guide). Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours. Qualifications
EDUCATION
High School or Equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Acceptable Driving Record. Six months or more driving in the DFW metroplex area preferred Experience with computers, printers, cellular phones, and record keeping preferred Some experience with direct Customer Service interaction preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Above average customer service skills. Good verbal and written English communication skills Ability to adhere to CBC policies and procedures. With ability /aptitude to learn applicable AABB standards and FDA regulations Excellent Driving Record. Maintain professional appearance.
