Position Overview The Hospital Teammate (Transport Services) is responsible for transporting medications, lab specimens, medical equipment, supplies, and documents between hospital departments with a high level of accuracy and urgency. This role operates in a fast-paced clinical environment and requires strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the shift. Key Responsibilities Transport medications, lab specimens, medical equipment, supplies, and documents throughout the hospital Prioritize STAT and time-sensitive deliveries to support clinical workflows Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA guidelines Maintain clear and professional communication with nurses, pharmacists, lab staff, and other clinical teams Use hospital communication systems, tracking tools, and delivery logs to document completed work Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive, confidential, or fragile items Navigate the hospital efficiently while managing multiple priorities Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in a hospital, healthcare, logistics, or delivery environment is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Effective communication skills and a customer-service mindset Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift Work Environment This position operates within a hospital setting and requires frequent walking, interaction with clinical staff, and adherence to strict safety and confidentiality standards.
