Time-limited, approximately 2-4 months
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Radeas is looking for an experienced, professional, and outgoing FT Specimen Collector for a time-limited assignment at our Roanoke, Virginia location. This position will provide coverage while a current employee is on leave. We are looking to hire ASAP for a start date TBD. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirement listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Specimen Collector Responsibilities:
Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of collection. Update and maintain patient information and records, as necessary, while ensuring patients complete privacy, observing HIPAA regulations into laboratory information systems. Perform and follow specimen (urine, blood, and salvia) collection protocols for specimen collection. Monitor and maintain supplies and supply records for all clinic needs. Communicate to lab any supply requests in a timely manner. Securely and safely package specimens for pick up by the lab's courier service. Follow general work protocols regarding breaks and cell phone usage during business hours. Adherence to all clinic and OSHA standards/policies. Education and/or
Experience:
HS Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service. Minimum of 1 year experience in a Similar Role, such as a Laboratory or Medical Office working with Specimens.
Skills:
Be dependable and extremely well organized. Strong work ethic, commitment to completing assigned tasks and dedicated to high-quality work. Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multitask, and the ability to complete the job without errors. Ability to work with patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Ability to communicate well with the clinic's provider and laboratory management Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
License/Certification:
Driver's License & Reliable Transportation (Required)
