Overview Join Pearl's Global Transport LLC is expanding its medical courier network in Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia and is seeking dependable independent contractor drivers for pharmaceutical and medical delivery opportunities.
Richmond availability needs:
approximately 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sunday STAT work as needed.
Roanoke availability needs:
approximately 8:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday and 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday. Some deliveries may travel up to three hours one way. Drivers may use a sedan or
SUV. AWD/4WD
is recommended due to possible mountain roads, dirt roads, weather conditions, and nighttime driving.
Requirements:
21 years of age or older Reliable sedan or SUV Valid driver's license Auto insurance meeting client requirements Ability to pass background and drug screening HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogens certification Smartphone with reliable service Professional communication and appearance Comfortable driving in all weather conditions and after dark Independent contractor/business entity status required or ability to establish one This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Work volume, stops, and mileage may vary by day. Routes and assignments are based on client needs and are not guaranteed. This exciting role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in the healthcare supply chain by ensuring timely and secure transportation of medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other sensitive materials. As a key player in our network, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, independence, and the satisfaction of supporting community health initiatives. We are seeking motivated individuals who are reliable, organized, and eager to make a difference through efficient delivery services. Responsibilities Safely pick up and deliver medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other healthcare-related items between clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, and hospitals within designated areas. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, adhering to strict confidentiality and safety protocols. Maintain proper documentation for each delivery, including signatures and delivery logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness before and after each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes. Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to the transportation of medical materials. Keep an organized record of deliveries completed and report any discrepancies or delays promptly. Skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent time management abilities to meet tight schedules. Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or mapping tools. Clear communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients. Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (such as HIPAA) is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
