QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
(Qualifications which are essential to the position) Must proficiently read, speak and write both English and Spanish High School Diploma or equivalent Know and communicate District philosophy Valid Washington State Driver's License and complete 5 year driving abstract (Available from Department of Licensing) Dependable transportation and proof of auto insurance Ability to work independently and with initiative Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality Able to work flexible hours which coincide with the hours parents are available Ability to provide workshop/training sessions for parents Willingness to work with students and parents of students whose attendance negatively impacts performance Willingness to work collaboratively with all building staff and participate in daily/weekly team meetings Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons
QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED:
(Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position) High School Diploma or equivalent Experience as a classroom paraeducator or tutor Knowledge of, and good rapport with entire migrant community Previous Home Visitor experience Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled.
