Independent package delivery driver CMJL Hartford, CT Job Details Contract $50 - $85 a day 6 hours ago Qualifications Automobile transportation Driver's License Package delivery Courier Load & unload Mobile devices Full Job Description CMJL is seeking dependable independent package delivery drivers for full-time and part-time routes throughout Hartford County and surrounding Connecticut areas. Drivers use their own reliable vehicle and smartphone. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is paid per successfully delivered package, with weekly direct deposit and an optional next-day payout program. What You'll Do Pick up and load packages at our East Hartford facility Deliver packages along an assigned residential route Scan packages and capture proof-of-delivery photos using a mobile app Handle packages carefully and complete deliveries safely and accurately Communicate promptly about delivery problems or route delays Schedule Full-time and part-time routes are available Routes are available seven days per week Morning package pickup in East Hartford Weekend availability is strongly preferred Drivers generally finish once their assigned route is completed Requirements Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable personal vehicle: car, SUV, minivan, cargo van, or Sprinter van Current vehicle registration and insurance iPhone or Android smartphone with reliable cellular service Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle checks Ability to load, organize, and deliver packages independently Previous Amazon Flex, DoorDash, Veho, OnTrac, FedEx, UPS, courier, or last-mile delivery experience is helpful but not required Must be able to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds Must be able to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout the delivery route Compensation Paid per successfully delivered package Rates vary based on the assigned delivery territory Weekly settlements by direct deposit Optional next-day payout available Independent contractors are responsible for their own vehicle, fuel, insurance, expenses, and taxes Pickup Location East Hartford, Connecticut If you are dependable, organized, and interested in consistent delivery work using your own vehicle, please apply and include the type of vehicle you drive and the days you are available.
