PORTER / JANITOR / DELIVERY DRIVER

Flying Iron Harley-Davidson - Rocky Mount, NC Position Overview Flying Iron Harley-Davidson is looking for a dependable, hardworking Porter / Janitor / Delivery Driver who takes pride in keeping our dealership clean, organized, and ready for business while also helping safely transport motorcycles, parts, supplies, and other dealership items. This isn't a job for someone who needs to be told every little thing that needs to be done. We need someone who sees a dirty floor, overflowing trash can, bike that needs attention, or delivery that needs handled—and gets it done. You'll help keep the dealership looking sharp, keep operations moving, and make sure our customers receive the level of service expected from Flying Iron Harley-Davidson. Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDealership Cleaning & Porter Duties Clean and maintain the showroom, offices, customer areas, restrooms, breakroom, service areas, and other dealership spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean glass, and maintain floors throughout the dealership. Clean and sanitize restrooms and keep them properly stocked. Empty trash and dispose of waste throughout the property. Keep entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and exterior dealership grounds clean and presentable. Wash, wipe down, and detail motorcycles as requested. Help keep motorcycles on the showroom floor clean and customer-ready. Assist with moving motorcycles around the dealership, showroom, service department, and lot when authorized. Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Clean up spills, debris, and other hazards promptly. Help set up and clean up dealership events, cookouts, Bike Nights, promotions, and other activities. Assist with basic dealership maintenance and organization as needed. Help receive, move, and organize dealership supplies. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned based on dealership needs. Delivery Driver & Motorcycle Transportation Duties Pick up and deliver customer motorcycles as scheduled by dealership management. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload motorcycles using dealership-approved equipment and procedures. Transport new, used, serviced, or traded motorcycles between the dealership, customer locations, vendors, events, or other approved locations. Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers during pickups and deliveries. Verify motorcycles and other property being transported before leaving the dealership or customer location. Complete required pickup, delivery, inspection, or acknowledgment paperwork accurately. Immediately report any damage, transportation issues, accidents, delays, or customer concerns to management. Maintain dealership trucks, vans, trailers, and transportation equipment in a clean and professional condition. Perform basic pre-trip inspections of dealership vehicles and trailers, including tires, lights, straps, hitches, safety chains, and other equipment. Make sure motorcycles are properly secured before transportation. Follow all traffic laws and dealership safety procedures while operating company vehicles. Assist with dealership event transportation, motorcycle staging, and equipment movement when necessary. Never operate dealership vehicles or transport motorcycles in an unsafe or unauthorized manner. Driver Requirements Valid driver's license required with Motorcycle Endorsement. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and remain insurable under the dealership's insurance policy. Must be comfortable operating dealership trucks, vans, and properly equipped trailers. Experience towing trailers and transporting motorcycles is strongly preferred. Must be able to safely load, secure, and unload motorcycles after proper training. Must exercise good judgment when transporting customer and dealership property. Must immediately notify management of any driver's license suspension, restriction, citation, accident, or other issue that may affect the employee's ability to operate a dealership vehicle. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely work around motorcycles, customers, vehicles, tools, trailers, and dealership equipment. Willingness to perform local and occasional longer-distance pickups or deliveries as dealership needs require. Motorcycle or Harley-Davidson knowledge is a plus.
