About Regalis Regalis Foods is one of the country's leading specialty food purveyors to the fine dining industry. We supply chefs and culinary teams at many of the most respected restaurants, hotels, and clubs in America with a curated portfolio across Caviar, Truffles & Foraged Mushrooms, Domestic & International Wagyu, Heritage Pork & Poultry, Seafood, Cheese, and an extensive pantry program of conservas, oils, vinegars, and other imported specialty products. Headquartered in Brooklyn with branches in Chicago and Texas, we're expanding into Detroit to serve one of the most exciting culinary markets in the country. The Role We're hiring a Delivery Driver & Warehouse Associate to be the on-the-ground operational engine of our Detroit market.
This is a hybrid role:
part driver, part warehouse, and the single most important operational touchpoint between Regalis and our Detroit customers. You'll handle airport pickups at DTW, manage inbound transfers from our New York and Chicago branches, receive and stage product, and run daily deliveries to chef-driven restaurants, hotels, and clubs across the Detroit market in a company refrigerated vehicle. You'll work under our Detroit sales lead, who owns the customer relationships and the market. Your job is to make sure the product gets where it needs to go, in the condition it needs to be in, on the timeline the customer expects
  • and to be a knowledgeable, professional face of Regalis at every drop.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role. Detroit is a satellite market, which means there is no big team around you. You'll be expected to operate independently, communicate proactively, and take ownership of the operation in a way that a driver inside a larger warehouse wouldn't be asked to. What you'll do Pick up inbound air freight at DTW
  • coordinate with cargo handlers, verify product, check temperatures, transport back to staging Receive and check in truck transfers from our New York and Chicago branches Receive, inspect, and stage product in our Detroit cold storage
  • managing inventory accuracy, rotation, and condition Run daily deliveries to chef-driven restaurant, hotel, and club accounts across the greater Los Angeles area in a company refrigerated vehicle Serve as the in-person face of Regalis at every delivery
  • building rapport with chefs, sous chefs, and receiving teams Coordinate live with the Detroit sales lead, the originating branch, and other Regalis teams throughout the day on routing, exceptions, and customer needs Maintain the company vehicle
  • cleanliness, basic upkeep, fuel, scheduled maintenance, and accurate logs Communicate proactively on delivery timing, substitutions, and any on-the-fly adjustments Surface field intelligence
  • receiving windows, dock issues, customer feedback, market opportunities
  • back to the LA sales lead What we're looking for Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required) Demonstrated working knowledge of specialty food product
  • caviar, truffles, wagyu, heritage proteins, seafood, cheese, and pantry items.
This is non-negotiable. You'll be in chef kitchens daily and need to know what you're handing them. Prior experience in foodservice delivery, specialty food distribution, kitchen operations, or a closely related background Comfort spending the majority of your day behind the wheel, on your feet making drops, and moving product in and out of a vehicle and a cold storage space Strong communication skills, especially with chefs and kitchen teams Strong organizational habits and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and handle cold/frozen product throughout the workday Working knowledge of the LA restaurant scene is a major plus Familiarity with airport cargo pickup is a plus
