Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: About the Role As an Removal Tech, you'll provide dignified, professional transportation of human remains between hospitals, post-acute facilities, funeral homes/crematories, coroner/medical examiner offices, and private residences. You'll represent MSS with compassion, precision, and respect while navigating time-sensitive assignments and variable conditions. What You'll Do Safely load, transport, and deliver human remains using company vehicles (van, hearse/coach, or transit van). Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, barriers, and timing to keep clients informed. Provide professional, courteous service to families, facility staff, and funeral professionals; direct inquiries appropriately. Complete required paperwork accurately and on time; maintain logs/records in company systems. Keep vehicles clean, stocked, and in safe working order; report maintenance needs promptly. Respond to dispatch calls quickly (answer within 2 minutes; en route within 20 minutes). Support related operations as needed (e.g., funeral attendant coverage, hearse driving). Follow company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws; attend required trainings/certifications. Schedule On-call, variable hours with regular night and weekend availability required. Work may involve continuous driving and time-sensitive responses. What You'll Bring Tech-savvy (MS Office, Google Suite); able to learn new tools quickly. Professional appearance, integrity, empathy, and sound judgment under pressure. Ability to follow detailed instructions, accept feedback, multitask, and set priorities. Physical & Environmental Requirements Extended standing/sitting; frequent reaching, talking, hearing; regular keyboard/data entry. Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions; exposure to dust/odors/fumes and variable temperatures. Work near moving mechanical parts; variable noise levels; frequent public contact in high-stress situations. Reasonable accommodations available.
