Approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Airport Fuel Technician III to support airport fueling operations on a temporary, part-time basis. This advanced-level position is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, testing, quality control, and regulatory compliance of airport fuel systems and related equipment. The position requires strong technical knowledge, mechanical troubleshooting skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety and regulatory standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel storage tanks, pumps, hoses, valves, filters, and related equipment. Perform daily sump tests on fuel storage tanks and filter vessels. Conduct Millipore testing on incoming fuel to verify cleanliness and compliance. Collect fuel samples and perform free-water detection and API gravity testing. Conduct monthly manual tank gauging and accurately document inspection and testing results. Monitor recovered fuel levels and quality to prevent overflow or contamination and determine whether fuel meets standards for return to the receiving tank. Inspect fuel operations, equipment, and procedures for compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Prepare required maintenance, inspection, and testing reports. Provide technical guidance to other personnel and ensure established safety procedures are followed. Assist with fuel spills, accidents, emergencies, and other response situations. Perform aircraft fueling and related ground-handling duties, including connecting hoses, pumps, and ground power units. Assist with aircraft towing and repositioning procedures. Serve as a technical lead on fuel-equipment maintenance projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following: At least 2 years of experience in aviation fuel operations, large-scale storage or distribution of flammable or hazardous materials, industrial safety/compliance, environmental response, refinery operations, or terminal operations; OR An Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Fire Science, Industrial or Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Petroleum or Process Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience . Preferred Qualifications Experience with aviation fueling and fuel quality-control procedures. Knowledge of Millipore testing, sump testing, API gravity testing, and free-water detection. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting fuel storage and distribution equipment. Knowledge of fuel-handling safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Ability to work independently and maintain accurate documentation. Schedule This is a temporary, part-time position expected to last approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension .
