An Aircraft Fueler fuels planes and jets at an airport. Operates fuel trucks and equipment and manages specific fuels required for aircraft. Monitors fueling equipment for mechanical problems.
This position is tasked with monitoring and coordinating airfield and aircraft activities, processing flight plans, providing flight following services, initiating actions for overdue aircraft, requesting NOTAM issuance from the FAA as required, processing and maintaining NOTAMS, maintaining a record of daily events on required forms, determining and reporting Runway Surface Conditions (RSC) and performing BASH responses, monitoring and responding to in-flight emergencies (IFEs) and ground emergencies (GEs), operating the Secondary Crash Network (SCN), and executing OIs and QRCs or any other form of checklist required. Performs briefings to base and transient aircrews relevant to airfield operations and restrictions. Maintains the Flight planning room equipment, maps, displays, and publications including FLIP products for accuracy, currency and availability.

Skills and Abilities Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
Experience:
At least three (3) years' experience in Airfield Operations - military or civilian equivalency.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is in an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building. Exposure to all weather conditions when performing runway inspections.
